Never wrote even a short story...how do I start my autobiography?

Particularily I need to focus on the last 8 years. It sounds boring from here, but this will be a very interesting book if I can ever get it down. How do I even start? I haven't taken an English course for over 30 years, but I'm not worried about my punctuation, just formatting the ideas and events.
