Wedding In a courthouse or not?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 and a half years (8/28/2007 is our anniversary) and we have talked about getting married. I wanna get married on our anniversary (which does NOT fall on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday, with the exception of this year, until 2015 and we don't wanna wait that long but not get married that soon) I had an idea about going and getting married at our local courthouse and then having a reception that following Saturday (that way I'm getting married on our anniversary). But I've always dreamed of this big wedding with all our friends and family there and I won't have that if I go to the courthouse :( Please help I'm torn between the 2 things I've always wanted.
