Why do people try to blame bad stuff that happens on God.......?

SOME people want to attribute all their fortune and positive experiences to god ("I thank god for letting me win the lottery") but then turn around and think it's unfair when other folks blame the bad things on that same god. If god is all-powerful, then god is all responsible, eh?
