The way God guide us is through His word. He uses prophets, brothers and sister in the Lord, situations, and others. But the most important thing that you should remember is that all these instruments God uses need to be confirmed. The Bible which is the word of God is the final say. You have to go to the Word of God to confirmed what is being said to you. The Holy Spirit will teach you as the Bible says.
